Dress Code & Uniform

At Stella Maris, we believe that a well-defined dress code contributes to a positive and respectful learning environment. Our uniform policy fosters a sense of community, pride, and professionalism among students. Below are the guidelines and expectations regarding the dress code and uniforms.

General Uniform Guidelines

  • Uniform Requirements:
Students are required to wear the official Stella Maris uniform during school hours. The uniform consists of:

    • Navy blue trousers, white dress shirt, and the Stella Maris polo shirt. Students may wear a navy blue blazer for formal occasions.
  • Footwear:
All students must wear closed-toe shoes that are black or brown. Sneakers are acceptable on designated gym days.

  • Accessories:
Students may wear minimal accessories that do not distract from the uniform. Jewelry should be kept simple and appropriate for school. Hats and caps are not allowed indoors.

Dress Code for Special Occasions

  • Formal Events:
For special events such as school Masses, presentations, or formal gatherings, students are expected to wear their complete formal uniform (blazer, dress shirt, and uniform trousers).

  • Casual Days:
On designated casual days, students may wear appropriate clothing that reflects a respectful and modest style. Clothing should not display offensive language or images.

Uniform Maintenance

  • Cleanliness and Presentation:
Students are expected to wear clean, neat, and properly fitted uniforms. Shirts should be tucked in,  and trousers should be of appropriate length.

  • Uniform Changes:
Parents should inform the school if there are any issues with the uniform, such as needing a replacement due to wear or sizing issues.

By adhering to the dress code and uniform policy, students contribute to a culture of respect and focus on learning at Stella Maris. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that our students uphold these standards, fostering a positive school environment where everyone feels proud to be part of our community.

If you have any questions or concerns about the dress code and uniform policy, please feel free to contact the school administration.
