Welcome to Stella Maris College Preparatory School.
Our passion is to educate, that is, to enable each child to embrace his life as a gift of love and a task of service. We want our students to attain the full stature of Jesus Christ, true God and true man.
Stella Maris is centered on virtue. Through moral, intellectual, and theological virtues, our students become the heroes, geniuses and saints they are called to be. Formation of the heart, rigorous academics, and joyful faith grow hand in hand.
Man is a story-telling animal. In order to mature as a man of character, science and God, our students need stories. Our narrative approach, which entails deep thinking about great books from our culture’s legacy, allows them to see themselves as main actors of a great and beautiful story, in which they are sons, brothers, friends, and the future spouses, fathers and leaders of our country.
The alliance between the Disciples of the hearts of Jesus and Mary and the Sisters of the Company of the Savior, a unique case in American Catholic education, is a source of joy and communion, and provides stability, ensuring long-term sustainability.
Stella Maris means “Star of the Sea”. Mary, the Mother of God, is the star that leads our educational community – teachers, students, parents, priests, and sisters – on our journey together through the waters of life.
