Vocation to True Love
Love defines our humanity.
Our curriculum emphasizes the vocation to love, as exemplified in the life of Jesus. We believe that humanity finds its fulfillment in the sincere gift of self. Every student is called to a life in Christ, imitating His supreme act of love through self-gift.
Virtue and Rigorous Academics
The fulfillment of the vocation to love and self-gift is achieved through an education in virtue and knowledge. Drawing from Dante’s words, “you were not made to live your lives as brutes, but to be followers of virtue and knowledge,” we provide a balanced education in moral, intellectual, and theological virtues. Through this, students grow into men of character, intellect, and faith—becoming heroes, geniuses, and saints. At Stella Maris, we cultivate the heart, where intellect, affections, and devotion unite.
Students learn that all disciplines—math, literature, art, sports, biology, etc—contribute to a unified understanding of the universe. We examine how different artistic and scientific fields reveal the harmony and complexity of creation, developing critical thinking skills to view knowledge as a cohesive whole.
